Coyuyo it's the name that takes the Quesada Gigas (Giant Cicada) here in the north of Argentina. The coyuyo, spreaded all over the American continent (from Texas to Santiago del Estero) makes a loud sound that sometimes makes it impossible to take a nap in the warm summer siestas.
The coyuyo has two resonant membranes which it uses to make the sound. Mimetically CoyuyoC it has two oscillators, one LFO and one VCO which can be controlled independently (by two nice wing-knobs) or it could be connected to each other through a mini patch bay. All connections could be by-passed through a light sensor. Working independently the oscillators go from beat to tones, getting interesting when the frequencies are near each other. You can connect the LFO to the VCO via light sensor with incredible modulation results. Moreover, you can connect the VCO to LFO to re-modulate the signal for hypnotical drone sounds. Patching correctly you can get an optical Theremin mode.
CoyuyoC has a voltage control INput that allows an external pulse to control the tempo. Its output could be mono or stereo.
