The project it's not based on a specific instrument, but will use an instruments called DCM, another called Nano Aetherphone and/or the Noiseboard as examples to describe how open source tools and easily accessible digital fabrication techniques can be helpful for artists and musical instruments designers. (Learn more about these instruments by clicking the CONNECT tab.)
By describing the design process behind the instruments mentioned above, I will show to the audience of the festival a vast range of useful and reliable open source software and tools that are virtually accessible by anyone for free free, such as FreeCAD and KiCAd and Inkscape.
